Digital Cam Megapixel Question

Mar 25, 2005 11:03PM PST

I have a Fuji Finepix 3800 with 3.2 megapixels and 6X Optical zoom which I enjoy using. However, I would like to get a camera with more optical zoom, but I've read that anything over 6X requires some kind of autostablizer or shooting with a tripod to avoid blurring. Is this true? Any recommendations for a reasonably priced camera (>$300)with an autostablizer?

I rarely if ever print any of the thousands of travels pixs I take. Is there any appreciable difference is viewing pisx on a PC which have more than 350 KB? I normally only use the 300 KB setting on my camera since I like to send pixs to friends and larger files are cumbersome to send. tc100@comcast.net
