digital audio recording

I'm pretty much of a technical neophyte and I have a question I hope someone out there can answer for me. We recently had a satellite TV system installed. With a recorder. It is the coolest thing ever. It allows me to record shows which air at inconvenient times to view later. It also records as I am watching so that I can pause a show if I need to or go back to repeat something I may have missed. It is great. I have also a Bose wave radio which I use for audio entertainment. I am also very pleased with it. Graet sound in a small package. My question is : is there a recorder of some sort that I could use with my Bose radio which would function in the same way as the digital recorder does in the satellite TV system? In other words record as I'm listening and also allow me to record programming that is on at inconvenient times. It seems to me that this is a good idea. I would love it for sure. I just don't know if it is possible technically. Thanks for the help.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
