You don't want to know.

I've used mono filament fishing line in a pinch for short optical cables. I'd look at somewhere else for the missing sound.

DAO cable -- is that for microphones and musical instruments.
I don't know where you're located and how long a cable you need but go to the nearest store that has A/V equipment and get one (don't overspend on Monster cable). When I last bought an optical cable I spent $10US for 3 feet.

I don't know anything about DAO cables so I can't help there. It may be the HDTV is not pushing out the same audio signal it gets from the playstation. Is there a setting in the TV for audio? How about the playstation? What is the DAO cable connected to on the HDTV? On the soundbar? What make and model HDTV and soundbar?

The 3 Euro version is fine

There's very little difference between digital optical cables in my experience. The only thing I have encountered is a slightly loose connector on a generic cable I bought at a hardware store when I needed one after the electronics stores were closed.

Agree with Bob . . .

The cable is not the issue. It will carry what signal is put onto it. You have other issues. Do you understand the physics of optical fiber carrying a digital signal? Signal in, signal out.

I have a PS3

Most TVs only pass through stereo sound. You need to connect the PS3 directly to the soundbar with a digital optical cable and bypass the tv. You might need to go into the PS3 menus and change the sound setting to use the optical output instead of HDMI.

Same for any other sound source like a cable box, etc.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
