Digital Audio Cable

Sep 20, 2010 4:09AM PDT

Hi Folks, what type of digital audio optical cable do I need to connect my Samsung 7000 series 3D LED TV to the 3D surround sound. My TOS cable connects to the DVD player OK but the TOS cable doesn't seem to fit in the TV. Is it a miniTOS or TOSlink connection. Documentation is crap.

j_a_newell,

Standard Toslink cable should fit properly. It may need to be turned to fit in properly, but will have a snug fit once connected.

Would you be able to post a link to a website where I can see and purchase the correct cable adaptor for this?

Anybody there?

Hi

Is this the best I can get with regards to customer support.

All I want to do is play audio between two Samsung products. If you had bothered to include the correct cables with either product I wouldn't be having this discussion.

Is there a Samsung customer support line I can call to resolve this?

In the USA, it's 0800-SAMSUNG. Go to www.samsung.com to find the contact options in your country.

j_a_newell,

I don't normally suggest one retailer over the other - in many cases, forum members offer their recommendations. However, since nobody posted their recommendation, Best Buy stocks them in various lengths - either of the first three listed in this link will work.
