Like the poster I had seen these Digistar tv's at the local Walmart. I decided to try and get what info i could to help not only myself but others that are interested in them. First of all, there is almost no info to be found. Not even a web site for Digistar. I did how ever ask the clerk if I could look at the manual and paper that came with the one they put on display. Seems like a decent basic tv on paper and the picture itself seems quite good. I did find in the manual a link to a website: www.pwwservice.com
It's a warranty company that just basically covers the warranty for the Digistar brand and several others. Here's the warning. My previous job was in retail for 15 and audio/visual equipment was a specialty. Three out of the several brands listed at this web site ( I won't mention names) are very poor quatlity. One out of every threee items we sold for 3 of these brands were returned on a weekly basis. Didn't matter if it was phones/discman's.walkmans or stereo's. If this Digistar is in the same league as the mentioned brands at this warranty web site, I'm keeping my cash and staying clear. Just my opinion though. Good luck to others that choose to buy one.
