You can download and install the XP powertoy called resizer. It allows you to right click on a picture and change the size. There is also a free download called Irfanview. It is easy to use and has a lot of nice features including resizing your photos.

I have a specific problem with resizing JPEG images prior to sending them by email.
I run Windows XP with SP2 home edition my email client is Outlook express and Firefox as my default browser.
When I attempt to send a jpeg image which appears on my hard drive as a fairly large file, I right click the image in question in "My pictures" and get a dialogue box which asks if I want to make the picture smaller. when I click OK nothing happens or if I follow the same procedure in the program which came with my camera, I get a dialogue box which indicates that "the mail program does not support MAPI or is not set correctly."
My question is: What is MAPI and how do I set it correctly in order to enable Outlook express to resize large picture files in order to email them.
Many thanks for your advice.
