General discussion

different character appear on the printout

Jan 22, 2009 7:04AM PST

Hi,

I was wondering if i could get some help here. I was printing a document that contains some extended characters (which i don't know what kind of symbol it belongs to), to a Fuji Xerox Laser printer DocuPrint C2535A. It was an arrow pointing downward shown on the screen but it was printed as something else, not a box though.

I hope anyone who might have encountered the same or similar issue before, may help me out with their experiences.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, my computer runs on Windows XP Pro and Microsoft Office 03

Thank you in advance

Sounds like a driver problem

Maybe using PS language or unsupported 3rd party font used to create the document Try getting the latest drivers first. If you can try it with another printer that might be worthwhile.

What does the preview look like if you bring it up prior to printing? You should be able to preview the document and if it appears normal in the preview, then it is more than likely an issue with the printer, generally software.
