Does any one know what is the different between Athlon and Simpron processor?

The short (real short) answer is it's the Duron in the new 939 or such package. See above web sites for more. Socket A motherboards are out of production so the new boards needed a Duron type CPU.

Basicaly the Sempron is Althon-xp throurghbred core with a new label on it. John
