difference between dvd+rw and dvd+r and dvd-r

what is the difference between all these formats of disc that i have? which one or ones are best for recording movies on them?

"+rw" is erasable.
Meaning you can write to it and erase it and then write to it again.....etc.etc.

"+r" or "-r" is NOT erasable.
Meaning you can write to it until it's full or until you close it.......then it becomes read only.

Best for movies?.......beats me......never recorded a movie.
I'm thinking that movies are quite large......which means you might want to think about "double layer disc".
I don't think "rw" comes in double layer.

The difference is just the format thats displayed for +rw and -rw.The differences between rw and r have already been explained. However the best to record movies on Ive found is +RW
