Camera makers like to use the same parts when they make more than one version of the same camera.
It is more cost effective.
It is very likely those two cameras are identical with minor changes for different features.
The A3200 has optical image stabilization and a lens that has a bit more optical zoom.
So I would expect the only difference is in the lens housing.
On small light weight cameras image stabilization is very desirable.
It will cut down on blurry pictures caused by camera motion.

Hello!
I have been planning to buy the Canon A2200 digital camera, because I saw some great photos taken by this in Poster Mode, and I liked those very much. But I have just discovered that it doesn't have an optical image stabilizator. Do you think it can cause problems if I mostly take photos of landscapes, and would use the camera for taking still images mostly?
The type: A3200 has optical image stabilizator, but I didn't see sample photos in Poster Mode taken with this camera. I wonder if there are any significant diferences in the mechanism of the A2200 and A3200 except for the image stabilizer? Is it possible that I could get the same color tones in Poster Mode with the A3200 just as in case of the A2200, or there can be significant color differences?
I also heard the A3300 has distortion problems, I wonder if this is an issue in case of the A 3200?
What do you think? If I liked the Poster Mode pictures of the A2200, should I go for that, or with the A3200, I could get the exact same color tones in Poster Mode, too, and that has the advantage of the stabilizer as well?
Thank you for your help in advance!
