For the basics (tables, queries, reports, forms), and if you're willing to use the Help to find out how to do the things where applying the 2003 recipe literally (menu options and the like) doesn't work, I think it's quite workable. It might help also to see if you can find any cheap (secondhand?, library?) book about Access 2000 to read about the program.

I'm taking a Microsoft Office 2003 class. The text book we use has an upcoming section on Access. If I purchase a copy of Access 2000 would it be similar enough to work. (I can't ask my instructor until next week and would like to purchase this today.) One thing he did already tell us is that we will only be doing the basics in each application...not going in depth at all.
Thanks in advance!
