No mention of the OS installed, but even with video editing I putted along on my 256MB p3-600 Windows 2000 laptop for about 4 years until I replaced it. Even then I only went with 512MB.
What I did do was optimize my setup to the max. I used BLACK VIPER'S SERVICES information to eject what I didn't need and no spyware was allowed.
What was not funny is that faster machines which didn't have the optimizing were slower.
Changing the CPU, Motherboard, RAM is possible but if you can clean house you may be able to get by for just a bit longer until 64-bit everything arrives.

My Dell is Dimension 8250 has Intel 850e with a pair of Samsung 128MB in 2 slots of 4 slots. I wonder if any find for a pair of 512MB that can I find? Only I can find a pair of 256MB for Rambus. It is rare to find for upgrade to 1MB by use a pair of 512MB.CPU is 2.4 with 533Mhz. Wonder if I cahnge motherboard for DDR2 or just leave it alone. I know it won't live at last longer soon. It is just 3 yrs old. Because I have heavy Photo Edit program like Photoshop and other imaged edit. It has only 60GB harddrive need to upgrade up to 250GB. Any Suggest?
