My family who lived in Anchorage for a few years said that when the temperature reached above 40 or so degrees, folks donned shorts and T-shirts. ![]()
As "humanoids" developed larger brains, learned to use tools and fire, etc., they could better adapt. It seems to me that it was an evolution over centuries that left the Neanderthals behind. In the days of the Knights of Old, the average height was much shorter than today. Many sons are taller than their fathers now. People now live just fine without an appendix or tonsils. So we are still changing.
