But I agree. I am not there to diagnose this one but what is this about the battery? Is it some old battery with issues? Those can burn out chargers and motherboards. I buy good new batteries since it's cheaper than a new laptop.
My Gateway NV53 laptop would not reboot yesterday. Just a black screen although the power lights were on. I noticed that my charger was extremely hot and unplugged it overnight.
Today it fired up again (do not use battery). Could it be that it would not boot because the charger is so hot?
