Did anyone see Palin after the debate?

by Dan McC / September 27, 2008 9:14 AM PDT

Me neither.

Where was she? It is standard duty for the running mate to talk up the candidate's performance.

After all the press she got from the convention, basically stealing the show, maybe they decided to make sure the debate night was all McCain.

She was in New York.....
by Josh K / September 28, 2008 12:52 AM PDT

.....where somebody made the mistake of asking her a question she apparently hadn't been given a script for. I don't have a link but I saw the clip on TV last night. Someone asked her whether she would support military action inside Pakistan and she said yes, which of course contradicts what her running mate has been saying (but she's in agreement with Obama!). Oh, and she also referred to the Taliban and Al Qaeda operatives along the border area as "those guys."

The VP debate on Thursday ain't gonna be pretty.

I heard she went hunting

...at the New York City Zoo. Another one I heard is she shot that thing off Trump's head and mounted it. Yes, I'm stealing jokes.

"those guys."

Ooooo! That's awful! Maybe she should have called them "those guys and girls"?

Without a link it's impossible tot tell how truly horrible her comments may have been, if in fact what you report is true at all.

I suppose it's better than "a group of folks"

In reply to: "those guys."

That's what Bush called them.

Perhaps I should cut her some slack for not being up to speed on Pakistan, the Taliban and Al Qaeda. After all, it's not like you can see Tora Bora from Alaska. Wink

Do youhave even a tiny shred of evidence...
by EdHannigan / September 28, 2008 2:04 AM PDT

that she is not up to speed on Pakistan, the Taliban and Al Qaeda? You haven't shown any.

BTW, your prejudices don't count as evidence.

Didn't think so.

As I said, your prejudices don't count as evidence.

I've searched around quite a bit and I am beginning to think that the story you told about "those guys" is not quite true. There seems to be no mention of it anywhere. Did you make it up? Did you see oit on SNL or Colert, perhaps?

sang,"What a fool believes,he sees".

It was Philadelphia,not NY.

McCain's policy is to go into Pakistan and do what must be done but not make public mention of it.What Palin contradicted him on was talking publicly about it.

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jxdRiHs0huSO2qb_uiwdR45pH2fAD93FUNCG0

As McCain said this morning:"She understands and has stated repeatedly that we're not going to do anything except in America's national security interest and we are not going to, quote, announce it ahead of time."

McCain also chided Obama for mentioning it publicly during the debate.

I can't wait for the debate myself, being the walking gaffe machine he is,Biden won't know whether to deficate or wind his watch when Palin's through with him.

and not the night of the debate either. I don't see any mention of "those guys" in that story, but let it pass.

Here's the video. Actually it sounds like "the guys" and not "those guys." It's after she leaves the restaurant and a person on the street asks her about Pakistan.

Nope.

Dan and you made an issue out of it. Then you made a claim about where she was on he debate night. You got everything right except where and when and you fudged what was said. Seems very bogus to me.

Other than that...oh, there IS no other than that.

So what's so bad about "the Guys". If she had called them "the doo-doo heads" Dan would have said it was "crude" .

"The guys" are friends I have over for dinner or to watch a ballgame. An army of terrorists are not "the guys," at least not to me.

Again, the denouement for Sarah Palin will come Thursday night.

Not surprising since your sidekick Josh has posted yet another unsubstantiated claim sans backup. Maybe he saw it in a comedy skit.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
