Dial Up Problems

Dec 12, 2003 9:24AM PST

I have Windows XP with a V92 modem. When I try to connect to the Internet, a box pops up telling me I have to dial the number manually. It will then connect. I have called my servers support technician and we have gone through all the settings and they are correct. The technician doesn't know what causes this.
Anybody have any ideas? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for your help. I'm sure that's what the box said. I followed the same instructions as the helpdesk/xp site. The only difference, as we had already gone through it twice, the technician had me set the Port Speed down to 56.
