You can add/remove dial-up networking. But missing is NOT a bad thing. You didn't write in your post what was broken, so my response is to not fix it.
In most of my posts I mention that newer spyware corrupts the Layered Service Provider. Removing the spyware may cause loss of internet connectivity. This isn't the fault of spyware removal programs but the spyware that damaged the LSP. Find LSPFIX with GOOGLE to fix that issue (which is not your DUN issue, but may be related.)
Again, no mention that you use a modem or DUN...

Using Windows ME with Outlook Express/Explorer Ver 6.0 and all with Microsoft updates installed.
Noticed to day I have no "dial-Up Networking" folder in the "Settings" Folder [above Start Key] Would like to have same back in place!

Bob Proffitt advice to use "SpyBot" with which did find and deleted about a 14 spy links [mainly BackWeb]This help seems to have corrected the freezing folders in My Documents. Before I used the AddWare Ver 6.0 program which now I found had left the above within my computer?

The Free Grisoft Antivirus program Error "mismatch" also seems to have come all OK too!. Certainly I had advised AVG Grisoft of the problem so they may have helped also!
