dial-up ISP

Live in Canada and travel to southern USA 3 - 6 months a year as a Snowbird. Can anyone advise me on a reliable and cost effective NATIONAL dial-up ISP. Currently using 90 day trial with AOL but they seem a little pricy. Thanks in advance. Jimbo

If when you get to your southern location and then stay put, I suggest you find what seems supported in that area. A good local strong ISP could be your ticket and savings to boot. While many are "nationwide supported" certain regions maybe weaker for some or not. You may find AOL pricy, but most others are just a few $ less while some delve into at least $10 less. I suggest you query into these ISP providers, Juno, Netzero, Netscape, Earthlink, PeoplePC and MSN. Beware what's offered as a low price maybe a "limited usage" like 10hr/month(you pay extra beyond that), thus look into "unlimited usage" as well for a more practical pricing. PLUS!!! understand some pricing maybe tiered to "options" and a low priced offering is usually stripped of practical goodies like spam filters, etc. while others may include it, so check for that. If you travel, being very mobile, check the satelite ISP is that's your game, but it seems Hughes/DirectSat(sp) is it, maybe others now.
