Desperate for Help with 'Old Chestnut' Question!

Dec 6, 2014 6:09PM PST

Hello everybody
I'm new to this, and a dunce on Camcorders. But I really do need your help.
I have recently unearthed an 8mm video cassette of my father, made a month before he died way back in 1988. The cassette is a "TDK 8mm Video Cassette P5-90 MP8".
I took it to a local electronics retailer who offered a conversion service to DVD but, having tried everything, they cannot get it to play at all. The contents of the tape are 'gold dust' for my family. Any help or suggestions to get it working and transferred will be received with enormous gratitude. Sincere thanks!

Jim
