Before we go much further if it was a virus you would have removed it and in doing so found out its NAME. This name is very important so we can see what damage it does and how to repair.

PS. More about Windows Defender on 8 at http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/windows8.aspx#antivirus
You posted in the Windows 8 forum, so I'll assume you have Windows 8. If that's the case, you have a built in antivirus, assuming you ran Windows update and kept it up to date. If you can wiggle the mouse in the upper right corner of your desktop and get the charms, you should be able to install Classic Shell which will give you back your desktop. If not, maybe it's time to reinstall Windows or restore from a backup if you have one.
ok i can get the charms but when i search for classic shell nothing pops up is it a windows 8 app or do I have to look for it on google? and also I am scanning right now with windows defender and also trying to upload a pic to show you guys what going on getting photo bucket now.
Download Classic Shell from classicshell.net. It will give you a desktop that looks like prior versions of Windows including the Start menu.
my internet exploer wont let me download anything I click open or save and it just clicks to reaction I have like 10 files on the download list and nothing is downloading??? and my windows defender cancelled half way through4
You can download Firefox from mozilla.org or Chrome from Google. IE is known to be buggy although yours sounds more buggy than most. Also I'd download the free MalwareBytes, get it up to date, and let it scan for malware.

Good luck.
I know it's a hard lesson for most but we only use Internet Explorer in a pinch. I rarely see it except to see what an IE control panel looks like to answer questions. Microsoft had over a decade of exploits so the advice I got long ago was to not use IE. You bet I took that advice.

to start from the beginning....What was the last thing you did before all of this happened? Is this a new install of Windows 8?

OK I fixed it but I just seems to good to be true I searched for desktop on explorer found the most recent desktop config and moved to to the location where it belongs and restarted the computer .. Anybody know why it was moved what happen?
I bought this laptop three months ago craigslist its an MSI gt70 for gaming... Annddd my first windows computer since the xp days how would I move the is install to the e drive? And is that what you are recommending?
While I see it as an issue, someone else may have set it up. For now, try to keep stuff off C until you learn more and are ready to wipe out and set it all up again. Installing Windows (any version) is still too hard in my opinion. That is, while I do this almost weekly I worry about the average Windows user and must defer to advising to use restore media and backups of what we can't lose.
Too much malware out there today so the need to backup has grown, not subsided.

I'm wondering if any tweaking or optimising software was used.
Dafydd.
My buddies in service centers would be fewer and less well off if it wasn't for PC Optimizer 2015.
Bob
Yea actually I used a mod that tweaks game graphics it seemed like it was pretty complicated dark souls 2 graphics mod it enhanced the game graphics and tapped in to the nividea stuff
Let's get this fixed. Did you make any recovery discs? Do you have a recovery partition on your hdd? Have you a backup of your files/system?
Dafydd.
As if Dark Souls 2 weren't punishing enough on its own, now you're using some alpha level "optimizing" program on it?
I'm going to agree with the idea that the quickest and easiest solution is to just start fresh with a brand new OS install.
Those so called optimizers are snake oil. If you've used them and are having problems, I hope you've learned from the experience. Time to re-install Windows, restore to factory settings, or restore from a backup, whichever is easiest to do. As Bob has warned, reinstalling is the least desirable of these alternatives because it's too easy to get the drivers and/or helper apps wrong.
I think I read above somewhere some comments about small C: drives, but I never did see what size your C: drive is. If it's under about 80 GB, that is also a likely problem source.

Good luck.
