Baper, By default Windows XP stores the pictures in the My Pictures folder. You could create a new folder and name it something like My Own Pictures then drag & drop the pictures into this folder. You could then go to the link below and scroll down to line 263 (left column) and download the "Disable Default Save As to My Pictures" .reg file. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.
I sometimes browse the My Pictures folder for a picture to display as wallpaper on my desktop. Suddenly every picure in the My Picture folder is now listed in the background display list along with the usual Windows XP list of backgrounds. There are also some program .BMP graphics in the Windows folder showing up in the list of backgrounds. How can I restore this list to display only the backgrounds in the Windows/Wallpaper folder as it did originally?
