Desktop Properties-Win Me

Aug 26, 2007 12:22PM PDT

I am 'working' with a computer from my sister-in-law...Compaq Win ME OS, 192 RAM, 30 GB HD,

I am trying to adjust the display window on the screen. In order to do that I must right click on the Desktop screen, then properties. When I do that and go to 'Settings', I cannot display the bottom of the screen where it shows the buttons for 'Apply' etc. In 'short' the display window is too long. The width is fine.

I have tried to adjust the monitor screen and there is no improvement.

This is driving me crazy...

When I change the pixel settings to the middle position and strike 'enter', I get a window message that says to restart the computer so that the changes can take place. When I reboot, the changes did not take place.

How do I 'expose' that window so that I can see the bottom?

You need to install a display driver. The stock Windows ME drivers do as you have described.
