* Where was the 'misc' folder originally?
* What are these items? (Programs, files, or shortcuts?)
* Do you mean that the files that used to be in the folder are now spread across your desktop instead of being in the folder?

The simple solution is to cut-and-paste (right-click and cut, then right-click and paste) all of the files back into the the folder in which they belong, then cut-and-paste the folder back to its proper location. However, if I've misunderstood please let me know.

The actual folder was still on the desktop and there were a few pictures in it and SBC Self Support Tool. Plus PC inspector.
All of this is still in the actual folder and on my desktop, spread out all over the top third of desktop. I tried to move the items back to the folder but it said it couldn't move them because the source and destination are the same.
Sooooo, I checked out everything that is in the folder and decided I really didn't need it and deleted the folder and of course now all the junk is off the desktop as well.
Maybe if I didn't get so excited I could figure some of these things out myself before I jump the gun. lolol Thanks so much for your help.
