Question

Desktop not found

Aug 30, 2016 11:57AM PDT

Ok so a bit of background into on the laptop, it's an Acer. Used the Free Windows 10 upgrades and have had nothing but problems with it. Missed the widow of time to go back to 7.

I used the laptop last night to just check my social media, turned it off, went to use it this morning and everything was gone from my desktop and and error messages pops up saying :

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop is unavailable. If locations is on this PC make sure it is connected and try again. If loavtion in on a network make sure it is connected to the network or Internet. If location still can not be found it might have been moved or deleted

And then followed by this error message

The application was unable to start correctly (0000152) Click OK to close application

Im not sure what's going or or what exactly happen between me shutting it down and tiring it back on but does anyone know what going on? Anyone know any simple fixes that I could try?

Any help is greatly appreciated

I'm currently following the steps from that link buts it's going very slow Ben stuck at 99% in the copying process for about 40 minutes. I'm hoping it works!
