Desktop Icons

I received a forwarded email with attached photos. I deleted without opening. It put one .gif icon in the Tray which I also deleted without opening. It has affected all my desktop icons.I ran virus scan with no viruses. All my desktop icons changed appearance. I downloaded TweakUI and ran rebuild/repair icons. It seemed to have worked on some, but other icons are blurred and when I try to change the icons, they are remain blurred. Please help.

Tufenuf, thanks for your respones. I spent most of the day trying to resolve this issue to include your suggestion. I checked desktop>properties>settings several times and missed the change in color quality. Somehow one of the .jpg or the .gif attachments changed my settings from Highest (32 bit) to Medium (16 bit) which affected all my icons.Once I changed it back to Highest (32 bit) all worked fine again. Thanks for taking the time to responde.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
