an icon "network neiborhood" is there any way to remove it from my desktop, I have tried right click, there is no deleat, i have draged it to the garbage, it comes right back. thanks all.

That was a long thread ...

Personally I would use TweakUI, go to the Desktop tab, and uncheck the Network Neighborhood icon.

Download TweakUI 1.33 (easy to find with google). It's an unsupported, but very proven, Microsoft tool, and might have more features you like.

Thank You Kees, I had no idea what that other message meant. I got tweakui 1.33, everything looks good but I can not find the "desktop tab" you speak of. I have windows98. How do I get to it? thanks again.

Kees I tryed it again, this time I followed the directions. the icon is gone forever, thanks a million that was a simple way to go. you a good guy
