Question

Desktop Folder Labels

Nov 18, 2014 12:15AM PST

Granted, this is a minor issue but, if possible to change, I would like to.

I have a nice photographic desktop image that has a white border. In this border I will sometimes have a couple of folders and an icon for my computer drive as well as an external hard drive. The issue I have is that all the names of these items are white in color with a subtle drop shadow that is hard to read. I have looked everywhere and cannot find any setting where I can change this to a simple black type, as are all the other files and folders within any other folder. Is there some way to change this? Thanks!

Appreciate the help, but that Background color shown in the screenshot in that link refers to the color of the open folder background and not to the color of the text in the folder label as I am trying to change.

It appears you have to fix this with add on software.

This software is one of the strangest I have ever used as far as forums go. Is there no way to insert images directly within the post in this forum?

Or how about editing a post. No way?

The EDIT button shows up when you Preview.

I see what you mean.

It would take away a great deal from the picture if it was full screen.

Looks like a hunt for some 3rd part software
