Desktop computer has a problem

Feb 24, 2014 6:45AM PST

I am again trying to get someone that knows something
about PCs to help me find out what is wrong with mine?
I log onto ebay and look up something and see pictures!!
I log onto craigslist and my pc will not show pictures!!
Question is what is wrong with my pc? I get no errors
before someone asks that I just do not get pictures
from ebay but receive them to look at from all other
websites.
Thank you

Final XP support ends in 6 weeks!
Feb 24, 2014 6:55AM PST

For starters you've only got 6 weeks to get off of XP before MS pulls the plug on the last of the support and you become exposed to all kinds of malware.
`
Now as to your problem, you haven't provided enough info. What is your screen resolution set to? What browser are you using? If IE, it may not work because XP is limited to IE8, and most folks are using IE11 or Chrome or Firefox. While you're on XP, you should use Firefox or Chrome because IE8 may not be supported with Craigslist any more. I have to say I can see pictures just fine with Firefox on my Windows 7 laptop.
`
Good luck.

No pics xp IE8
Feb 24, 2014 10:39AM PST

Hi thanks for answering me, This ONLY happens with one program I said.
Again I will say this does not happen with ANY other website only
Craigslist, I have tried all browsers including Chrome Firefox etc and It will
not do anything on Craigslist.
I have two laptops and they both work just fine and this happened over
nite so it wasn`t something that took awhile to mess me up.
your talking like I will need to purchase another PC to get the
right results from Craigslist?
Resolution is the same always with all sites.
Thank you

I'm saying if you don't get off of XP,
Feb 24, 2014 10:57AM PST

you're going to be vulnerable to more and more security problems. You can read about it on the MS web site here:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/end-support-help
You could always go with one of the free versions of Linux (Mint or Ubuntu for example), but you'll sure be living dangerously IMO if you stay on XP.
`
It's possible you currently have some malware. If so you should get MalwareBytes, get it up to date, then boot to Safe Mode and do a full system scan with your antivirus program, then with MalwareBytes.
`
Good luck.
