Desk Top Configuration

I got to problems; One how do I make those boxes around the the Icon Titles on the desk top disapear and two how do I set up the start menue so that all I have to do is place my mouse over the menue and the next level opens up!!

Thanks for your help!!

You need but try this for the transparent ICONS

Open System properties
Advanced tab
Performance section and turn on the Use Drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop.

for the next level to open

Right click the start button
start menu
and untick Scroll programs and use personalized menus

NavyDoc, Just to add for the icon border removal follow the instructions at the link below.

For the Start menu if you're using the Windows XP style and not the Classic style right click your Start button, choose Properties, click the Customize button, under the Advanced tab checkmark "open submenus when I pause on them with my mouse" and OK your way out.
