Question

Denon Setup

Oct 6, 2015 4:46PM PDT

I just moved into a new house and thankfully it came with a ton a technology and equipment. Unfortunately I have no idea what I am doing.
I have a denon AVR-2309CI
I have a Sharp Aquos LC-65D64U
I have a direct tv mini genie
and a ton of cords.

Can someone tell me how to connect these? Currently the direct tv mini genie is set up to the Sharp Aquos with an hdmi cord. I have tried a few different things to no avail to then get the denon connected.

Thanks!

What things? My understanding is that everything should go through the Denon. But I am sorry to say I am not very familiar with DirecTV genie.

Should be fairly straight forward

They seem to have some schematics/suggestions at the Directv genie site too, FWIW Wink

Try this:

DirecTV mini genie (HDMI out) --> (HDMI in) Denon
Denon (HDMI out) --> (HDMI in) Sharp Aquos HDTV
OR

DirecTV mini genie (HDMI out) --> (HDMI in) Sharp HDTV
"" "" (digital coaxial out) --> (digital coaxial in) Denon AVR

You may have to run through the Denon manual about assigning inputs, audio settings, etc.

Enjoy!
