Denon AVR and Samsung TV

When i turn on the TV the Receiver will not power on to the Cable-tv setting. how do i get these two devises to communicate and default to the Tv on and the receiver to the TV-cable output to the TV?

i'm using HDMI cabling, does it have something to do with the audio feed back from the TV to the receiver through the HDMI cabling? what should the settings be on the TV and Receiver?
