This man is nuts, Howard Dean that is. It appears to me that Dean is the Pat Buchanan wanna-be of the radical (as in not in main-stream USA) lefties Sad

~Dean Calls For New Controls on Business ~

HOUSTON, Nov. 18 -- After years of government deregulation of energy markets, telecommunications, the airlines and other major industries, Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean is proposing a significant reversal: a comprehensive "re-regulation" of U.S. businesses.

The former Vermont governor said he would reverse the trend toward deregulation pursued by recent presidents -- including, in some respects, Bill Clinton -- to help restore faith in scandal-plagued U.S. corporations and better protect U.S. workers.

Maybe, maybe not, Ed. I have seen some evidence of libertarian tendencies in some of Dave's post and I believe that Mr Dean may be leaning a little too far in the socialist direction for DK.

It appears that many in the Democrat party are making hard left turns though (related to their anti-Bush hatred?) and that is making it difficult to get some reasonable issue discussions going. They rapidly turn in to arguments. I do like a vigorous debate, but I don't like to argue so I have mostly given up on discussion 'issues'.

How have you been doing, Ed? I haven't seen to many post from you, here nor in other places.

Doin' fine here Louis and glad to see you doing better too.

With Dean and Dave though I still see very little Libertarian leanings (his lean normally stops at the r) but the begging bowl is ever present.

What I have noted most about every Democratic Presidential Candidate debate is that inevitable Bush wins it by default (de fault bein' their attacks on each other and no real or viable "message").
