Demo Mode

I bought the floor model of the Element 50” 4K UHD smart TV Amazon fire TV edition yesterday and it’s in store/demo mode I’ve called element customer service and the reset directions given to me will not work I also called target to ask the electronics person if they could help and they could not... how do I get this TV to work

Model Number EL4KAMz5017T

Only buttons working on the TV is volume Up and Down
Same on the Remote Control

I see not a single pdf user manual on their support pages. Not a good sign....

I used google to find https://www.elementelectronics.com/shop/50in-amazon-fire-tv/

Down the page and there's the manual at https://cdn.elementelectronics.com/app/uploads/2017/08/element_amazon_Manual.pdf

There is no mention of demo mode but just like a Fire TV stick or box did you press the Home key long enough to get to Settings?

"The most common TV settings can be accessed by pressing the icon for three seconds. After 3 seconds a menu will appear on the right side of the screen. Use the circular ring on the remote to navigate to the appropriate action."

So nope, not documented as far as I can tell.

So this means if this was mine I have to explore every menu.

There was mention on another forum (AVS Forum?) that one owner didn't have the remotes for this model and as such was stuck.

This same thing happened to me and here is how I resolved it:
1. Unplug ElementTV
2. Hold down input-button on bottom of TV and plug in ElementTV while still holding onto input-button until television powers on (this launches boot mode)
3. Use volume buttons to scroll to “factory reset” and press tv power button to select (this prompts next step to confirm)
4. Use volume buttons to scroll to “yes” and press tv power button to select
DONE! This is return the ElementTV to factory settings and will power on normally now. Have a great movie night!
