My problem is similar in that the 3300 is connected through a BT Voyager 2100 wireless router and printer starts first 1/2" of page printing ans then stops with printer panel saying printing and dialogue box on PC saying 99% print job complete and then nothing.
dell pretty hopeless at trying to resolve so no fix yet but definitly a comms error
OK, Here is what I have done, I am able to see my network which is a D-Link 524 wireless router/firewall, added the Dell 3300 with no problems. I lost my CD for the printer driver, so I tried adding a port in my properties, and it saw the Dell 962 port - put the printer online and bam it seemed to work. I printed my first doc, and it hung and then died. Looking at the print job it printed the first page and then died at the start of the second page. As I research this, I saw that I was losing wireless comm in the middle of the print. The 3300 would reset itself after the print job deleted (not sure on the timing.) I gave my 3300 a static IP, and I did a ping -t on my 3300 and for the most part it would ping with a couple timeouts periodically...shouldn't do that I would think. I would send another print to and I would see the pinging work for a bit, and then die.
Has anyone else seen this? I have upgraded the flash on the drive to the latest and greatest. The upgrade took two times, since I lost wireless comm with the 3300. Very frustrated. I hope I didn't buy crap.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
darren
