Dell will not start

I re-formatted my hard drive (Dell Dimension E520 with Win XP) after a virus killed it. The issue is, I did it with my laptop windows version. Now the computer does display anything on the monitor. Without the monitor working, I don't know what to do or how to fix it. The monitor works when plugged to my laptop, power is on. How can I turn on the monitor to download the proper driver or boot the computer? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Simple, just format it again using the restore disc for the desktop. If you don't have this anymore, contact Dell about getting a replacement.

Thank Jimmy. But how do I get the computer to boot off the CD again? It is not using the CD to boot.
