Question

Dell WiFi Driver

My WiFi isn't working. It does in the am and pm and at home but not work. Sometimes it doesn't even recognize my broadband driver sometimes it does. I have updated my driver and reset my computer, nothing works. A co-worker has the exact same computer and having the same exact problems. Is there an update coming soon? Dell Inspiron 13-7352

- it's unclear what you mean with "it [that's the Wifi, given the context] doesn't recognize my broadband driver." That's rather vague.
- Your co-worker did the exact same thing (update the driver and reset the computer)?
- Where did the updated driver come from? May I assume you used your Dell service tag to find it?
- What exactly is "reset". If that means "going back to factory conditions" and it did work then, you know it's not a software problem in your laptop.

It seems to be common (and old) problem with this model, if I look at https://www.dell.com/community/Networking-Internet-Bluetooth/Dell-Inspiron-13-7352-Wifi-Dropped-Cannot-Connect/td-p/4580396 , but probably that's just because WiFi has a lot of issues generally.

I don't expect any update to solve this issue. If it works at home, and doesn't work at your work, I'd see if the IT guy/helpdesk can help you. In the mean time, use an Ethernet cable in stead of WiFi.
The easy DIY thing to try is a USB WiFi dongle.

My co-worker has the same exact computer bought at the same time and she is having the same exact issues I am and both occurred in the same time frame. The other computer has not had a reset or an update. I find it odd that 2 computers are experiencing the same thing at he same time. This happened about a year ago to a lesser degree then an update came out and all was good.

Since other same models do have issues.

You work with the maker over this one. Dell mass produces these laptops so they could have a problem and the entire lot could see the same issue. Since we are not Dell support we won't see the problem in the lot.

Our views are from what we find with research and how we solve them day to day. I continue to carry a few USB WiFi to test if the problem is the onboard WiFi or an OS setting or driver.
