General discussion

Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW

Apr 17, 2006 3:21AM PDT

I am thinking about buying the Dell UltraSharp 24 in LCD. I was reading some of the reviews and most complaints was on the dead pixels and high pitch Squeal. The one problem I could not understand was when they talked about the dead pixels. (Could some one please explain what they mean by dead pixels)

Thank You:

Wendell H

pixels...

are the little dots on the monitor that generate what you see on the screen. The more pixels per inch the higher the resolution the monitor is capable of (among other factors). Dead pixels are those that don't "activate" that should when the monitor displays anything.

and life goes on...

Thank You very much for the information, now I know what to look for or what to expect from the Dell 24 LCD.
They were many reviews on that monitor that talked about High Squeal & Dead Pixels.

Thank You Again
