When folk have more than one display. Did you calibrate the display or is it old?

Hi !

Monitor is brand new Dell flahship UltraSharp U3014 (got it 3 days ago).
It's connected via DisplayPort to my XPS 17 Dell laptop miniDP to DP so no signal conversion involved
So I have laptop screen itself and monitor to compare .
I haven't calibrate it (ordered X-Rite Display Pro calibration device , should receive it tomorrow).

Dell claims monitor is factory calibrated and even attached calibration sheet.

Do you think it might be graphic Card issue ( my old monitor I bought in 2005 Dell Ultrasharp 2405 was connected via miniDP to DVI adaptor, since it didn't have dispaly port) ?

Thankls in advance for any help. I still have 2/5 weeks left for exchange/refund, but I don't want to ask for exchange without finding the reasons

Color is not that easy.

There's a reason why we calibrate. The color of the room and how eyesight and vision works means we calibrate if it's too far off.

If you can't accept Dell's answer (I didn't) then why keep it?
