They couldn't fix it, they took it in, returned it in worse condition and this was at 3 months. 6 months later still no working laptop.
It appears that companies have hit bottom. Good luck in your quest.

I was just reading a few other people's thoughts on the Dell Tech "Support," and I think "Criminal" was the best word to describe it. I have been on the phone with these people for the past hour, because my laptop is broken. They sold it to me broken, and now it seems in order to evade fixing their mistake, they're putting me through a horrendous tech support system, and hoping that I just give up.
Basically, the internet doesn't work. The following story about my laptop has been explained to these people several times.
My windows taskbar Wi-Fi symbol shows 5/5 bars (As if I'm connected to the internet,) and yet, there is no connection. When trying to use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Hell.. even Internet Explorer, I get no result. Usually a load symbol, and then after 5 minutes or so of "loading," the connection just fails. I have tried Windows applications that use the Internet, such as Skype, Ventrilo, etc. Nothing works. The internet is clearly broken.
Several times I have done a complete system restore, and the problem remains. Also, my Internet works. I have several devices connected to my router, and the internet works perfectly on them. The laptop is clearly broken, there is something wrong with the hardware.
But Dell Tech Support has transferred me back and forth 5-6 times so far, to repeat my story. They've hung up on me three times. After the second time they flat out hung up on me, I called back, to be put on hold with no human contact whatsoever, for 15 minutes. It is obvious they've recognized my phone number/service tag, and are putting me on hold hoping that I will give up.
I confirmed this by calling back with a separate phone while I was on hold on the other phone, and was immediately "assisted."
I told the "Agent" immediately that I wanted to speak with a Supervisor, and he instantly hung up on me a third time.
I have now been waiting on hold for 22 minutes.
I do not think my issue will be resolved.
Dell Tech Support is CRIMINAL.
Dell is CRIMINAL. They sold me a BROKEN LAPTOP, and they're acting as CRIMINALS, refusing to take responsibility for their wrongdoings.
