Dell SupportAssist stuck in a scanning loop

Apr 2, 2017 4:03PM PDT

I was doing whatever on my Dell Inspiron 5000 series laptop, and a window popped up in the bottom left corner of my screen, and I think I tried to close it (I'm not sure.) but my computer froze, so I decided to power it off, then power it back on. When I tried turning it back on, SupportAssist showed up and said they were scanning my computer for hardware issues. After waiting about 20 mins for it to end I hit esc (because in the bottom right, it says "The mouse is not active during testing. Press ESC to stop testing." I tried that, and the scanning stopped but restarted again. I tried powering it off and on again also, but nothing is happening its just repeating. Now I'm just waiting for it to end somehow while typing this on my phone as it continuously loops. As you can tell, I'm kind of a tech newbie, and I would upload a picture, but don't know if I can. Can anyone help?

Same problem

I have the same issue.

Said that all was fine then after I shut down and booted up I get a "Operating System Loader has no signature. Incompatible with Secure boot. All bootable devices failed Secure Boot verification." Can't get past this screen.

Product: two week old Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming.

Definitely a warranty issue.

Make the call and see if they can sort it out.
