Dell support loop scam

Oct 25, 2010 12:02PM PDT

After many call it had been determined that my monitor should be replaced, but technical support needs to confirm numbers.
Ever since, and that is now over full week calling every day, for few hours at the time, any time of day, being on phone line anywhere from 20-60 minutes. After reaching operator they put me back in que ("it is not that department") and after long long wait, I have no other option but to hang up and call when I can.

This can not be right! I reach customer service within minutes, than get transferred to tech support and then after they transfer me -it just gets me nowhere. Has anyone experienced this? I'm sure many people just give up. That's not right!

It's time for the written letter. Find the president's office or ceo and write them with all the details. If you are unlucky enough to have threatened legal action to anyone they might let you pursue that rather than swap it out.

That's not right but it has not been my experience.

Had a HD going south......ran some test to verify this......got my ducks in a row....called Dell.....within a reasonable amount of time was connected to a Dell type.

Explained my problem.....ran some Dell diags with the Dell type on the phone.

Dell type>>>>Yup.....your HD is bad.

Two days later a fellow shows up.....HD in hand and swaps the unit.

Sure your calling the proper phone #?

In the U.S. use 800-999-3355

Tried on-line support.........support.dell.com
