When I insert a CD into the CD drive (slot on right side of computer, not a pop-out tray), it makes a rapid clicking noise and ejects itself. Any suggestions about the problem. Anything will be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. Is replacing the drive easy and is it something that I could do on my own (I am not a technie)?

The symptom is typical of a failed drive or some drive that has damage or foreign material in it. This looks to accept almost any laptop slim SATA DVDRW drive if you don't care about the bezel.
