I had to unplug my speakers and headphones for audio to pipe over HDMI.
Sorry but I stopped working on it once it started to work. Maybe there are other suggestions.

I have recently been having an issue with my HDMI connection to my TV. Early on when I set up this connection, I discovered you had to select the audio source by going into the playback devices and selecting the HDMI as the default output and the sound and picture came in great. In December I would do the same procedure, but I wasn't getting any sound. I restarted my computer and it would work just fine. Now, every time I want to watch something from my computer on my TV, I have to restart my computer to get sound. Has anybody else had this experience. It is a real bummer, as Vista is a slow loader and can sometimes take 5 min for my computer to properly output to my TV. I always get video, but have issues with audio.
