Dell Studio 1535 takes forever to resume from sleep

I have a dell studio 1535 with Vista
It must take this thing 3 minutes to awake from sleep
mode, does anyone know a fix for this

It was the external USB hard disks that were slowing it up.

Now this may not be your issues but details are slim so I'll just share a recent one.

Malware, an WIFI connection that is less than secure (WPA or better please) and more.

Why are details absent from your post? This is an all volunteer forum so it's up to you to make it easy. That is, don't make people ask for details.

I was told this was related to the dell studio 1535 completely
OS Vista Studio 1535
No Malware, Wireless connection as well
I do have usb speakers connected but I tested that as well
If you google this studio 1535 and sleep problem
you will see what I mean about others having same problems

I won't repeat those ideas here. If you know of the issue that's good but I'm not going to repeat those ideas or substitute for Dell's support.

I'll only offer new ideas or ones that I have found to help.

If you have a bum unit then deal with Dell. I will not be able to fix it as it is a bum unit.
