Dell Studio 1535 Problems

Mar 22, 2009 9:26AM PDT

I have had a bunch of problems with my recently purchased Dell Laptop. Got it late Nov 2008. I get a lot of errors, speakers pop and crackle, eject button only works when it wants to, blue screen pops up and kills everything I have. Anyone have any of these problems?

Dell Studio 1535 same problems - major lemon
Nov 11, 2009 6:02AM PST

I have had problems with this lemon from the beginning. I purchased it in 2008. Within the first 3 days it crashed every time I turned it on. I attempted to return it to Dell, at which time they said I had to try and repair to repair it first before returning it and they would schedule a technician to come to me to replace the hard drive. I argued vehemently with them that I have payed full price for a Brand New Computer that now has to have it's hardrive replaced. I did not by a used computer yet after 3 days it was just like a refurbished computer. Once, the hardrive was replaced I continued to have problems, your computer needs to shut down, you need to restart, blue screens, etc. I then contacted Dell and told them that they sold me a lemon and I was told because I had a technician come out and replace the hardrive I was no longer eligible to return it. Please keep in mind I followed their advise - I was told that I couldn't return it until until I allowed them to attempt to fix it. Can you see the problem here. On several occasions I have called Dell and attempted to get my constant computer issues resolved to no avail. On every turn I was transfered to India where the only thing their technicians new what to do was to read from the manual and the manual did not have a fix for my problem. I requested on numerous occasion that I wanted to speak with someone in the USA who could assist me with these conastant problems and at NO point could they connect me with anyone from the USA. To date my computer constantly has to reboot and jsut this morning it blue-screened again for no reason. It had been charging and I went to start it and another blue screen must be going on 20 - 25 times. Dell has no response to my issue and claim that my computer is not a lemon and since I passed the time for returns there is nothing they can do to help me - just continue to pay for this piece of crap. It is a pretty purple paperweight. If I can get enough feedback from others who are having problems with Dell we might have a chance of getting our money back or at least getting a computer that acutally funtions.
