Was it running Windows 10?

In reply to: Dell Recovery

If so you can use the Microsoft Media Creation Kit on a good PC to create a Windows install (10) on USB for that PC. Be sure to select the 32, 64, Home or Pro the Dell was running of Windows 10.

The easiest is to use an external optical drive (connected via USB).
