Question

Dell Printer 962 help

Jul 25, 2011 2:38PM PDT

I recently installed the printer on a new laptop that a friend gave me, two days ago. I had been printing on it just fine. I needed to scan today but when I tried it kept telling me that there was no communication. So I printed something and it printed. I did all the things that it said to do: remove usb and replace; remove power cord from wall and printer and replace; make sure printer is turned on; restart and it was the same thing. Was told that if that does not work to uninstall and then restart. I did that. When I turned back on to re-install more problems began. While installing it kept saying that a driver was detected do I want to update or install a new copy. I choose new copy. It went through something but did not even ask for the second install disk. It went straight to print test page, but it would not print. Getting error message. It seems like the driver was not unstalled in the first place and now I am stuck. How do I uninstall the driver? Need to do this so that I can try to get my important documents scanned ASAP!!! Thank you for your help.
