Let's say this worked before. It is very rare to see any driver to fail over time like this.
But I am encountering older machines that folk are writing about issues like the one you noted. As I go over the basics we find they never cleaned the heatsinks or replaced the dried out heatsink compound.
Many machines never get this done.

I have 3 Optiplex towers that would randomly shut down. Through blog and deep internet searches we found that it was due to critical Intel updates as other system items. The question is..., since Windows has a setting feature to auto find and update, how can we set the hardware to do the same?
