DELL OPTIPLEX 620 POST ERROR MESSAGES

Jun 9, 2012 10:32AM PDT

I have a Dell Optiplex 620. I had XP on it, and recently upgraded to 7 32-bit. Regardless, I have error messages stating that it cannot find SATA or PATA drives. If I press F! to continue, it's fine. Once I get into Windows, I can see all the drives and access them without a problem. Any ideas on how I can solve the problem, or at least get rid of the error messages?

That sounds like a BIOS or motherboard issue.

Did you try the BIOS defaults? Dell's latest BIOS and if that didn't solve it, another motherboard?

Hi adcampbell10

I am Arun I work for Social Media and Community at DELL,

Could you please provide the exact error message that appears on the screen when you turn the computer on..?
So that we can provide fast and effective solution for your system.
Since you have mentioned that all drives are visible with in OS, this error message will help us find the root cause of the issue.

Regards
Arun
