dell lattitude D610 or hp dv4000 ??

May 29, 2005 9:20PM PDT

i just cant figure out which one to choose after narrowing down to these 2 notebooks.

dell lattitude d610: sonoma 1.6ghz/512mb/60gb/14.1" ATI x300/64mb --- around $1400

hp dv4000: P-M 1.4ghz/256mb/40gb/15.4 TFT wxga/ -- around $1200

they say that i can expand to 512mb with only lil increase in price.
it seems like dell has got good features but its display is not TFT and is less than 15" and a bit expensive. but hp has nice display screen, nice price but its processor is a bit slower.
what do u guys suggest? please help me decide it!!

or any reckons besides these 2??

The screens on the two laptops are similar (the two companies chose different acronyms to describe them, that's all) except that the 610 is not widescreen. Keep in mind that it's probably just as tall as the HP's screen, but not as wide.

Me, I'd go with the dv4000, as I like 15.4" widescreens. Happy
